The first AEROCEPTOR project workshop with the end-users (WS1) was held on 24 May 2013 in PIAP premises in Warsaw, Poland. The workshop was preceded by a Project Consortium meeting and combined with a first End User Advisory Board meeting.
The workshop was an occasion to present to the end-users the project objectives, the general work plan and status of the project activities, with a special focus on the system architecture, RPAS payloads and SSH as well as the project activities related to the legal and ethical issues.
The main aim of the workshop was gaining a valuable expertise from the end-users on the project objectives and activities carried on.
Additional result of the workshop was the dissemination impact, via presentation of the project both to the end-users (representing Austria, France, Israel, Italy, Poland, Romania and Spain) and other stakeholders, like representatives of the European Parliament or Polish National Contact Point.
The workshop was organised on the same day as the Night of Robots event, held in PIAP’s premises on 24 May 2013, so the workshop participants were also given an opportunity to attend it. At the event, which gathered over five thousand visitors, the wide range of various robotic solutions (including ground vehicles, industrial robots and RPAS) was presented to the event attendants.
